OXFORD UNIVERSITY FILMMAKING FOUNDATION
Supporting student filmmaking since 1981.
OUFF is Oxford University's official filmmaking society. It was founded in 1981 by Michael Hoffman, Peter Schwabach and Rick Stevenson. Known then as the Oxford Film Foundation, OUFF’s first production was Privileged (1982), directed by Hoffman and scored by Oscar-winning composer Rachel Portman. The cast included Hugh Grant, Imogen Stubbs and Mark Williams.
Our aim is to allow everyone with an interest in making films to do so. We help people with their projects by providing them with free equipment as well as a platform to connect with other students who share a passion for all things film. We run workshops, socials, talks with industry professionals as well as our own film festival. This year, we're also launching The OUFF Film, a really exciting project open to all Oxford students that you can read more about here.
If you have any queries about the society, our equipment or anything film-related at the university in general, feel free to get in touch by emailing us at contact@ouff.org.uk or by messaging us through our Instagram @ouff.ox. We also have a Facebook group, which is where our members advertise their projects and post callouts for cast and crew.
